Don and Joane Doorly
The Doorly’s were married in 1976.  Five years after that they felt a change was needed in their lives; a change from the daily gruel of working 9-5.  In 1981 Don enlisted in the US Army.  From that point on they viewed each duty station as a God appointed move.  The Lord took them to Georgia, Hawaii, Washington State and Alaska.

While in Hawaii they ministered to soldiers and their families thru the local church where they served in a leadership capacity. Also, they ministered through the military Wives Club that met the needs of families while soldiers were deployed.  This pattern of ministering to military families repeated itself everywhere they went.

The Doorly’s were sent out as ministers to congregations without pastors in the state of Washington and villages throughout Alaska.

Don retired in 1998 from military service.  In the summer of 1999 they moved back to NJ.

Currently Don is employed as a Certified Hospice Palliative Nursing Assistant and Joane works in the Municipal Court and Finance departments in their hometown of Berlin, NJ.

They have two grown children and two grandsons.

Don attended Valley Forge Christian College from 1975-76.  While stationed in South Korea Don studied Berean Bible courses and assisted the chaplain with charismatic church services for soldiers.
